Our mission statement

2022 was a ground-breaking year for Team Australia 40k. While the team was confident going into the WTC 2022 after its ground-breaking performance in 2019, winning the whole thing was always going to be an enormous challenge. However, with years of hard work (over the Covid-19 downtime), the team was able to deliver a stellar performance to take down the World Championship First Place as well as Best Sports. 

In 2023, Team Australia’s goal is to maintain our World Championship culture of excellence in all facets of 40k. This involves extremely high levels of teamwork and collaboration as well as mastery of the game itself through rigorous training, pairings exercises and competitive play. Furthermore, we intend to exhibit the utmost levels of sportsmanship and community-spirit that gained Team Australia 40k the ‘Best Sportsmanship’ award at WTC 2022. Team Australia 40k seeks to epitomise the mantra that it’s 'not just about winning, it’s about how you play the game'.

Ultimately Team Australia’s goal for 2023 is to go back-back and take down WTC 2023. We strongly believe we have the players, coaches and resources available to achieve this mission.
